Privacy Policy — Slizzart TV

Slizzart B.V. · Effective 15 September 2026 · Applies to the Slizzart TV app for Android TV and Google TV, the browser viewer at slizzart.tv, and the Slizzart TV backoffice.

Slizzart TV is a channel for organisations on Smart TVs. This policy explains what a television running Slizzart TV knows about you, what our servers keep, who can see it, and what your rights are. It is written to be read, not skimmed past; it is short because the app collects little.

1. Who is responsible

Slizzart B.V. (registered in the Netherlands, Chamber of Commerce no. 76159949), Simon Stevinweg 9 B, 1221 AC Hilversum, the Netherlands. Contact: contact@slizzart.com.

For a screen that belongs to an organisation's workspace (a company, school or institution — the workspace owner), that organisation decides what is shown and what viewing signals are delivered to its own systems. In that relationship the workspace owner is the controller of viewing data and Slizzart B.V. acts as its processor. For the public showroom (the "View the demo" door) Slizzart B.V. is the controller.

2. What the TV app collects

The app on your television holds and sends the following, and nothing else:

DataWhyWhere it lives
A random screen identity and its pairing codeSo a workspace member can approve the screen and it can fetch that workspace's channelOn the TV (hardware-backed secure storage) and on our servers
The viewer token issued after pairingAuthenticates the TV's requests for contentOn the TV, in secure storage; sent only to Slizzart TV's own servers
Viewing signals: which item was started or completed on this screen, an answer chosen in an interactive film, when the screen was last activeLets the workspace owner see how its channel is used, in aggregate, and lets it deliver completion signals to its own learning or communication systemsOur servers, and — only if the workspace owner configured it — the owner's own system
Network information (IP address, request logs)Delivering the service, security, abuse preventionOur servers' request logs

The app does not ask for or store a password (sign-in happens on a phone or computer, never on the TV), does not read contacts, location, microphone, camera or any file on the device, contains no advertising, no advertising identifiers and no third-party analytics or tracking SDKs. Its only Android permission is network access.

3. Viewers are anonymous unless the workspace decides otherwise

A television is a shared device. Slizzart TV treats the screen as the viewer: viewing signals are recorded against the screen's random identity, not against a person. A workspace owner may choose to link a screen to a named member of its own directory (for example so that a completed safety briefing counts for that person). Whether and how that happens is the workspace owner's decision under its own policies; Slizzart TV never builds per-person profiles of its own and never uses viewing data for any purpose other than serving the workspace owner.

The public showroom issues a temporary anonymous session that expires after 30 days. It counts plays; it does not know who watched.

4. Content from third parties

A workspace may include videos hosted on YouTube or Vimeo. When such an item is played, the TV loads it from that service in an embedded player and that service's own privacy policy applies to what it receives (typically your IP address and the video requested). Slizzart TV sends those services nothing about you beyond what playing the video requires.

5. The backoffice (for people who manage a workspace)

If you administer a workspace you sign in with your work e-mail address, by a one-time link or through your organisation's identity provider. We keep your name, e-mail address, role, and an audit trail of changes you make to the workspace (what changed, when, by whom). This exists so that the organisation can account for its own channel; it is visible to the workspace's administrators and to Slizzart staff for support.

6. Where data is kept and for how long

7. Who we share data with

With the workspace owner, for its own screens (see section 1). With our hosting provider (OVHcloud, EU) as a processor bound by a data-processing agreement. With no one else — we do not sell data, we do not use it for advertising, and we do not hand it to data brokers. We disclose data to authorities only where the law obliges us to.

8. Legal basis (EU/EEA)

For workspace screens: performance of our contract with the workspace owner, which is responsible for its own legal basis towards its members. For the public showroom and the request logs: our legitimate interest in running and securing the service. For backoffice accounts: performance of the contract with the workspace owner and our legitimate interest in an audit trail.

9. Your rights

You may ask to see, correct or delete the data we hold about you, to restrict or object to its processing, and to receive it in a portable form. Write to contact@slizzart.com. If the data belongs to a workspace, we will pass your request to its owner, who decides on it under its own policy. You may also complain to the Dutch data-protection authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.

10. Children

Slizzart TV is a product for organisations and is not directed at children. A school using it decides what its pupils see and is responsible for the lawful basis of doing so; the app itself collects no more from a classroom screen than from any other.

11. Changes

When this policy changes, the effective date above changes and the previous version is available on request. Material changes are announced to workspace owners before they take effect.
